The claim

You can route most of your revenue to people who need it more than you do, and it's not charity theater — it's a design constraint, and constraints make better systems.

Routing is the whole thing

A promise to donate is a feeling. A split computed at the moment of sale is architecture. Disclose the number on the product, next to the price — it's true, and it's the strongest thing about the offer. You're not asking someone to buy a PDF; you're asking them to move money to a children's hospital and get a PDF for their trouble.

Where it goes wrong

Promising a percentage of nothing (ship the split AND the sale). Routing gross when you can only pay net. Making the ethics the product — they're a tiebreaker, not a substitute for the thing being good.

The constraint

When 70% is gone before you see it, you can't build a business that needs the 70%. No ads, no burn, no runway. That's the best thing about it.
